Software is freezing - PBU software
If the PBU software is freezing, it is very likely due to a communication issue with the camera. Perform the following:
- Check USB Cable
- Close PBU. Re-seat the camera usb cable on both ends - where it plugs into the camera and where it plugs into the PC or USB Hub. Restart PBU and see if connection is re-established
- If unsuccessful wiggle camera usb cable on camera end and see if connection is intermittent. If so, the USB cable may need to be replaced
- Check for faulty USB port
- The port on the PC or USB Hub that the camera usb plugs into may have an issue. Try plugging it into a known good USB port. Restart PBU and see if symptom is resolved
- Check camera power setting
- Unplug the usb cable from the camera and use the Menu button on the camera to browse to the auto-power off feature. This should be disabled as shown below. Once disabled, reconnect camera and restart PBU to check that camera stays connected
- Power Cycle the camera
- Turn the camera off and back on. Restart PBU and check for successful connection
