Troubleshooting Guide: Ensuring media (paper and ribbon) is loaded properly

If media is not loaded properly into the Sinfonia CS2, you will get an error code and the unit will not print. 

Error codes are often caused by the printer not properly loaded. If you load the printer correctly, the printer will produce 4 white sheets of paper and have 2 green lights.

Troubleshooting steps:

1. Please view the video below to ensure you are properly loading the media (paper and ribbon) into the printer:

 

2. The final stage of printing, the printer will cut the paper. The cutter can only cut through the thickness of one sheet of paper. If any trimmings are in the cutting stage, the printer will stop and cause a jamming error. Inspect the printer to be certain there are no trimmings and remove any that are found. 

- after removing the trimmings, reset the printer by removing the paper and ribbon, close the printer drawer, turn the printer off and unplug it for 15 seconds. 

- with the printer drawer closed, plug it back in, turn it on and wait for the unit to power up. open the printer drawer and reload the ribbon and paper following the proper steps outlined in video.
